Rabbits for food

After a long, wonderful dinner at Chez Panisse last night in Berkeley, CA with my cousins, brother, and soon to be cousin-in-law Rusty - I have been inspired to add another 'cherry on top' to the list.

My entree was a delicious Devils Gulch Ranch rabbit with rosemary, polenta, braised Belgian endive, and chanterelle mushrooms..

..which got me thinking about the potential for small rodents in Alaska (and the Sierras) this summer. Wouldn't it be fun to catch one? And EAT IT.

Right now, a realistic goal will be to set at least one trap on the trial, and check it after at least 24 hours.
